USTCC Passes Resolution in Support of People of Australia after Brush Fires

Today the United States Tai Chi Community Board of Directors passed a resolution in support of the people of Australia as they suffer from the 2019-2020 brush fires.

Whereas the members of the United States Tai Chi Community have always enjoyed a friendly and fruitful synergy with the people of Australia, including Dr. Lam, the Directors and staff of the Tai Chi for Health Institute, and the many Australian practitioners of the Tai Chi for Health programs,

And the Australian Brushfire Catastrophe of 2019-2020 is unprecedented in its destruction of all life,

We, the Board of Directors of the United States Tai Chi Community, pledge to support the people of Australia in body, mind and spirit through this crisis.

Specifically:

  1. we will donate $500 to the Australian Red Cross,
  2. we will reach out to our Australian tai chi family to express our camaraderie, love and sympathy, and
  3. we will renew our efforts in our own communities to empower others for greater health and wellness with tai chi, thereby growing the strength and resilience of the global tai chi community.

We encourage all members of the USTCC to do the same within their abilities and means.
