Music in Your Tai Chi Class – Professional Development 2022 Spring Series

The pandemic has caused major stress in our lives. Studies have shown that combining music with the practice of tai chi has a healing effect and positive impact by improving the mood of our class participants. This webinar will look at practical ways music can be combined with tai chi practice to enhance your participants’ tai chi experience.
Guest Speaker
Amy Heritage, holds a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Shenandoah University and a MM and DM in flute performance from Indiana University. Amy is a member of the Toledo Symphony and teaches in the Toledo Symphony School of Music. She is a registered teacher of the Suzuki flute method. From 1991-2003, Amy taught flute and chamber music at the University of Toledo and performed with the Toledo Wind Quintet. Amy appreciates Tai Chi as a way to maintain mental balance as a performer as well as physical health and balance,
